We are all looking for success, whether it is personal, professional success or in our relationships. We are all concerned by it, that’s why people become fanatic and look up for idols to show them what it is. However, there is not one road to success, there are many and although it can be about making money, having notoriety, or even fulfilment, success exists beyond these things which are just possible symptoms of it. Success is not set in stone and there aren't two forms of success that resemble each other nor magical formula that allows you to duplicate the success of others. This is because each victory is completely unique, and that is exactly why it is so. Imagine success being the same for everyone, it would be so insipid and yet discouraging.
Success is about the unique way you make it happen because you are the only one to reach the kind of accomplishment you set your mind for. Therefore, success is about asking yourself what it means to you, in what form you would like to experiment it and what steps can you put in place to get closer to it. Success is much closer than you have been led to believe. It is just a question of perspective.
The tricky part is that you are the only one able to set your mind to the required levels of integrity and coherency, necessary for that. No one else can do that for you. You can receive guidance, learn from examples, harness inspirations but it all comes down to how, why and what you set yourself for. Yes, there is a great disillusion behind this, because somehow the medias made a great job in standardizing an idea of success that could suit everybody. However, this is an illusion. Success is first and foremost a profoundly intimate experience, and a potential that awaits to be realized within everybody.
This being said, the fact that success is a tailored experience does not make it less valuable nor contagious. On the contrary, it can be discreet, and yet very potent. Success when authentic, challenges appearances, and permeates all areas of your life including relationships. The greatest enemy of success however - whatever is your version of it - is your fear of failure.
Success is brought into reality from the ability to focus on what can be achieved, instead of what cannot. It is about switching all the creativity you pour into thinking that something is impossible, into knowing that it is possible and reachable. As long as your mindset is programmed with what you can't do or what you can’t be, you are prone to failure, simply because this is what you set up your mind to. This is because, you never truly learned about your own potential in school and this is something you are in the process of reconciling with. And yet, there is no one in this world that can tell you what kind of success you are made for, which can be both rewarding and disheartening.
Ultimately, it all comes down to embodying who you are, which makes success something exclusively singular to you. By embarking on a self-journey discovery, you get victory on years of illusions and indoctrination. When you dedicate to learn about yourself, and take the chance to believe in you, you stop sabotaging yourself because you realize that you are both the bridge and the obstacle towards success. When you have faith in you, everything bends to serve your growth, and this is success.
